Well done Gemma
Congratulations to Gemma Bealey of Great Torrington School in Devon for winning the edukid "straphrase" competition.
Gemma thought of the line "education for a brighter future". We will now be using this on our website and brochures.
Gemma is also part of a group currently saving their pennies to travel to Cambodia and meet some of the children edukid help.
We will keep you informed of their progress during the next few months.
School Childrem show their Generosity
In November pupils of Parkham Primary School decided to support a child in Uganda. Each year they will be raising money
to fund their child's education. It is intended that the school will follow the progress of this child and edukid will visit
their school to help pupils learn all about how their child is progressing and what life is like in Uganda. If you would
like your school or group to do something similar just go to the contact section in the left hand column and send us an e-mail.
Celebrating in Style
St Johns Church in Kidlington is 100 years old this year! As part of their celebrations they have adopted edukid
as their charity of the year. They plan to do all kinds of different events and have even made up their own money boxes
to save their change!

Car Boot Success
Gayle and Pat in Oxford are edukids car boot sale stars! During the season (yes we didn't know there was a season
for Car Booting either) they will take their car up most weeks. "Pete from the Paddocks" lets them in for free, and
local people and car boot sellers regularly turn up with armfuls of things to sell. Last year they raised over £2000 pounds!
You think that's incredible - a few years ago they visited the children they help in Cambodia. Gayle raised the money buy
giving up smoking and using that money for her flight!
Congratulations Jackie and David
edukid supporters Jackie and David from Nottingham got married in 2007. Instead of presents they asked for money
towards edukid, raising around £500!
An Edukid Christmas Duet
This Christmas Matt and Adam from Buckland Brewer went carol singing for edukid and raised £35!
Write and tell us of what you are doing and we can put you on our site!
