Frequently asked questions

Q. What if my financial situation changes?

A. Simply inform edukid at anytime. edukid keeps a financial reserve each year to cover such situations. The charity will take on your committment until a future supporter is found.

Q. Can I communicate with my child?

A. Unfortunately this is not possible. Firstly edukid keeps the location of the children confidential as a professional safeguard. Secondly, we do not have the financial resources to fund this.

Q. Is this a child sponsorship programme?

A. We like to think not. Our partners in Cambodia work with the villagers, parents and grandparents of the children in many ways. edukid's educational programme is just one way this child/student will be supported. edukid has also listened to respected other charity findings on some of the pitfalls of Child Sponsorship and shares their concerns. Every effort is made to ensure we learn from and respond to these recent findings.

Q. Can I ever be involved with edukid or visit some projects?

A. Yes of course. edukid welcomes all the help it can get, and would like to embrace as many different gifts as possible. Should you wish to work directly with children then obviously by law and applying a healthy professional conduct their are certain things we need to address. We would be happy to talk with you further on this. Just go to the contact section on the main home page.
